Learning to Count Early
Mathematics and logic play a major role in our lives, in the workplace, in the scientific and business fields, or simply while shopping or managing our money. However, very little is done in the first few years to teach children the art of counting and applying logic to daily problems.
More focused on language development in the last 30 to 40 years, the scientific community now devotes more and more time researching the psychology of mathematics and how children acquire a number sense in the early years.
The early results are more than encouraging, showing that children as young as a few months old can already distinguish low quantities between 1 and 3, and thus suggesting an innate number sense in humans.
Building on these foundations, Edukey’s course on mathematics provides parents with over 100 games to play with your child and teach the basics of numbers and logical thinking.
